Museum Hours
  Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., are free and open every day of the year, seven days a week, except December 25. See the list below for the specific hours each museum is open.
  The National Museum of Natural History and the National Air and Space Museum will be open today, Tuesday, February 9, at 10 a.m. All other Smithsonian Museums in the Washington, D.C. metro area, including the National Zoo and the Udvar-Hazy Center, will be closed on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.

COOPER-HEWITT, NATIONAL DESIGN MUSEUM
Open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm;
Saturday 10am-6pm;
Sunday 12noon-6pm.
Note: Closed Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1
AMERICAN INDIAN MUSEUM, GEORGE GUSTAV HEYE CENTER
Open daily 10am-5pm;
Thursdays open until 8pm.

Admission
Admission is free for all Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., the Zoo, and the American Indian Museum's George Gustav Heye Center in New York
A fee is required at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York (Members and children under age 12 are admitted free)
