The ocean is ancient, essential to all life, constantly changing, and just beginning to be explored. To celebrate the opening of the Natural History Museum's new Sant Ocean Hall, this lecture series features curators discussing various aspects of the ocean. Today, David Pawson (senior scientist, invertebrate zoology) discusses the history of ocean exploration.
